Story
Hi Guys… as most of you know I can usually be found with a barbell in my hands, doing burpees or attempting some other exercise down at the Health Hub Huddersfield. This year however I’ve joined a cracking team to take on a challenge much more out of my comfort zone.
I’ll be attempting (with my team) to cycle 40 miles around the Lake District (me on a bike is a never event for those who know me), canoe 2 miles (me and water do not go well together) and finally hike 12 Miles up one of the Lake District’s highest peaks ‘Skiddaw’ (this I’m ok with on a normal day but not after the bike and canoe). And all of this to be completed in one day starting at Sunrise and aiming to be done before Sunset!!
We are raising money to help fund vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people. At Action Medical Research we are determined to stop the suffering of babies and children caused by disease and disability. By supporting us, you are helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.
Any sponsorship will be greatly appreciated and we will be doing this is some form of Fancy Dress (to be decided)!! .
