Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service have partnered up with Chest Heart and Stroke (CHS) and Mindwise, a mental health charity, to promote the importance of taking good care of ourselves both physically and psychologically. All money raised will be split equally between the two charities. It's a year long campaign called Healthy Body Healthy Mind, with events ranging from cycling around each fire station 8th to 20th May 2017(Station2Station), Running round Belfast City Hall 23rd/24th June, walking out of the Marble Arch caves then cycling to and climbing Slieve Donard in one day (Lowest to Highest 19th August 2017) or the ten treadmill challenge 2nd September at Castle Court. Ten treadmills for ten hours. For more details and updates of what's coming up or ways to help out and get involved, visit the NIFRS webpage or our Facebook page.
It should be a year of hard work requiring maximum effort but by the end of the campaign we hope that people will be more active and hopefully we'll have helped people to talk more about their mental health and to have sought out help if needed.
