Story
The story...
In 2019, I ran a half-marathon to raise money for kids with cancer. This year I was meant to do the 100 mile RideLondon for War Child. It never happened but I still want to do something to help, so I'm raising money by combining my two loves: art and cycling.
I make art for kids under the name Marvellous Monsters and I'm going to donate 100% of any art sale to their cause throughout the month of December. And as I didn't get to cycle the 100 miles in August, I'm also going to deliver any art on my bicycle within a 15 mile radius.
If you don't already know...
War Child supports children and their families in war-torn areas across the world. Through child protection, access to education and psychosocial support, War Child helps children to recover from the devastating effects of conflict. Here's what your donation can do:
- £20 - the cost of a School Kit for a former street working child graduate to be reintegrated into formal school.
- £30 - the cost for educational toys for one of War Child's early education centres.
- £100 - the cost of sending one child to school for a year.
- £200 - the cost to kit out a classroom with tables, chairs and teaching equipment.
