Brain tumours kill more children and those under 40 than any other cancer, yet research into the disease receives just 1% of the national spend to cancer research. At brain tumour research they aim to raise £4 million every year to fund the 4 centres of excellence across the UK.

Fewer than 20% of people diagnosed survive so I know how lucky I am to have survived. I had to re learn how to do everything again, walking, talking eating etc. So to be even contemplating doing an abseil is something I never dreamed, I would be capable of when I was in a wheelchair.
