As a severely misunderstood mental illness, eating disorders need the power of the people. And right now, Butterfly needs you to join our fight to open the doors of Wandi Nerida, Australia's first residential facility for eating disorders.

Story

The number of Australians living with eating disorders is alarming. If you don't know me, chances are you have a friend, family member, colleague or other associate that is currently living with one: and, it is torture. Having an ED is like having your worst enemy in your head, 24/7. 

The battle to recover is the hardest thing you can imagine, compounded by the fact that even if you are lucky enough to access treatment, it is often time-limited,  and not highly effective. 

Wandi Nerida, in Queensland, will be different. It offers treatment that is compassionate, and holistic. 

However, The Butterfly Foundation needs our help to open Wandi Nerida. Please, for those who were not as lucky as I was to have a second chance at recovery, for my birthday, give what you can to support this facility.
