I think that most of us know someone who has been affected by cancer. Although many survive, others are not so lucky, and the work that hospices do can make the final days of those patients, and their families lives much easier at what is obviously a very difficult time. Having witnessed firsthand the work that the staff do, these people are an inspiration, and their vital work in caring for the patients is incredible.

To help to raise money for Help the Hospices, this year I have decided to do something a little crazy. The intention is to race my heart out at the London Marathon, and then worry about completing the other 3 in successive weeks. This will probably destroy my poor legs forever. The crazy events are taking place in Spring 09 as follows:

26 April- Flora London Marathon

3rd May- Neolithic Marathon (an off road hilly bu**er)

10th May- Halstead & Essex Marathon

17th May- Windemere Marathon

Please put your hands in your pockets as this will be my craziest thing ever and this is some serious effort going on!!!!!!
