Pancreatic Cancer Action is the only UK charity dedicated to saving lives through early diagnosis. Pancreatic cancer is the 5th biggest cancer killer and the 10th most common cancer in the UK. Your support means we can continue to raise awareness of the symptoms to ensure early diagnosis.

Story

We are raising funds for Pancreatic Cancer Action who are a national charity dedicated to saving lives by improving early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and the quality of patient survival. We have chosen this charity in support of one of our colleagues, whose family is currently being affected by this terrible disease.

Pancreatic Cancer is the 5th biggest cancer killer, but only receives 3% of cancer research funding. Most cases of pancreatic cancer are diagnosed as an emergency, when symptoms show in later stages of the disease.

Since being diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer in May 2017, Anthony Smith, with the support of his family and friends, have supported Pancreatic Cancer Action in raising funds and awareness by holding afternoon tea sessions, a music event, half marathon, bike rides, and a 10,000 steps a day challenge.

Enter the Heathrow Wolves! On Saturday 2nd June, we will be taking part in the Leicestershire Wolf Run 2018, a 10k course through Woods, Obstacles, Lakes and Fields. More information about the event can be found at www.thewolfrun.com

With your help we fund vital research, create medical education programmes, produce national awareness campaigns and vital patient information. Together we can make a difference!
