FLEET is a charity which is provides emergency equipment of all the Frontline ambulances in Cornwall. FLEET has provided equipment, bags, boxes, bins and much more to standardise the Cornish FLEET. FLEET has instigated, invested in and equipped the motorbikes, cars,Search & Rescue helicopters and a bus in Cornwall.

Story

The idea of a marathon came very soon to us in the new year and we wanted to select a charity that would benefit our local community and help save lives.

We chose FLEET as our charity and decided to raise money for a defibrillator. In Britain 250 people have heart attacks everyday - young and old- and out of that 250 only 5% survive. The only way to restart the natural rhythm of the heart is to use a defibrillator. If a defibrillator can be used with 3 minutes the chance of survival goes up to 70%.

By raising this money we are hoping to install a difib unit in the local community and that it can be used by local people to save lives.
