Hi
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My sister Ceri was diagnosed with Adenocacinoma in 2008. Ceri's cancer had a mutation in its genetic code called EGFR, which is a relatively uncommon form of lung cancer. It is presented in approximately 5% of lung cancers and is normally associated with non-smokers like Ceri.
Ceri received excellent care and treatment from Velindre - they never gave up on her. She had so much to live for. However after several rounds of chemo and exploratory treatment the cancer was just too aggressive. Ceri passed away in September 2009.
Not a day goes by where I don't speak of her or think of her. I still feel robbed.
Her daughter Leoni, will be 21 years old this year. Ceri should be here to celebrate with us. Cancer has denied her this
I want for a time where no-one has to grow up without their parent because cancer took them.
Please support my chosen charity, Velindre, so that one day we will have victory over cancer.
Diolch.
