Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am about to embark on an amazing experience, I am going to try and climb the three peaks of great britain in 24 hours. Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake district and Mount Snowdon in Wales. These are hard enough individually but trying do climb these in 24 hours will be extremely tough indeed!

I want to help raise awareness of childhood cancer and what better way than to raise money to help the cause. The Beads of Courage.

Cancer in children and teenagers is more common than you think with 4,000 children and teenagers diagnosed in the UK each year. Some of the cancers that children get are extremely aggressive and therefore require more aggressive forms of treatment. These treatments can be very harsh and unpleasant and leaves them weak and vulnerable to all kinds of infections.

The beads of courage is something new for the uk, these children go through so many milestones and treatments and to get a bead for every one of those can help them tell their own very personal story. I found this quite moving and if you take a moment to watch the video I am sure you will understand why I have chosen The Beads of Courage programme.

So please dig deep and donate now.
