You may or may not know that I am taking part, on June 12th, in the Get Gor-geous Cycle Challenge. This is a 50 mile bike ride from Bristol to Cheddar, up the gorge and back again. It's organised by the Bristol CTC and in order to qualify for the challenge I have to complete 8 training rides from a modest 5 miles right up to 40 miles. I currrently have 2 to go, 35 and 40 miles. 

Anyway, it started out as a bit of fun. Something to get me out exercising regularly. Now it's become a little bit of an obsession and while it's hard going sometimes, particularly when it's rained or I've been at the back of a group of blokes who are obviously serious cyclists in their scary figure hugging lycra, in the main I'm really enjoying it. What would make it all the better is if I could raise a few pennies for some of the poorest communities of this world, both here and abroad and help Action Aid to fight poverty and injustice.

Please will you help me to do that. Any amount, large or obscenely large will be most gratefully received.
