I am taking part in the Clipper Round the World Race, the world's longest ocean race. The 12 boats left London on 30th August 2015 and I will be joining my boat, CV30 - Unicef, to take part in 4 Legs (out of 8) from Cape Town at the end of October.

Am I an experienced sailor?  Not yet - but along with my fellow sailors and under the leadership of our skipper, Martin Clough, I will be by the end.

As part of this mid-life adventure, I'm raising funds for Unicef, which operates in 190 countries, including all of the countries we visit during the race.
