CEO Sleepout Northumberland · 19 November 2018

Changing Lives supports over 14,000 people each year facing the challenges of homelessness, recognising the complexities that often go beyond housing alone. We know that everyone’s journey is different and that, with the right support, anyone can make positive change for good.

Story

Changing Lives is a national charity that started in the North East 48 years ago. We have over 100 services across the country supporting individuals at transitional points in their life, where they may have a range of issues they need help with.

Our services help people at stages of homelessness, those who want support with recovery, women and family services and services to help people back into employment and stability.

We are a team of 5 workers who oversee and work in projects across Northumberland and North Tyneside. These services include a large homeless provision for men and women who need help, a specific service for homeless Veterans and a service for people forced into slavery and exploitation.

We are taking part in the CEO Sleepout in Northumberland where we will be part of a number of organisations who will sleep rough, outside, overnight to get an idea of what many people in society unfortunately face. The money raised with go directly to supporting our work in Northumberland.

Any awareness raising, sharing and any amount of financial donation people could give will be greatly appreciated.

Changing Lives supports 7000 people a month. These people could be us, have been us and have been our loved ones. Together we can change lives.

Much thanks
