Helen's The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge page

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge · 15 June 2019
I am committed to teaching church bell ringing. We have been very successful here in Roos in encouraging people, especially children to learn the skill. In 2018 we won a national award for recruitment of young ringers.
The village is very proud of the bells and the fact that so many children are involved in ringing them.
We have a major problem in that the ringing gallery at the back of the church is too small. There is no space for anyone to watch, the access is difficult and there is no teaching space. This make the supervision of a busy practice very difficult.
The gallery extension will include a new staircase.
My cousin Deborah and I are attempting this challenge in memory of our cousin Sharon who died of cancer last year at the age of 53. Sharon was very committed to her church and was always interested to hear about the ringing at Roos.
With a month to go, I have already raised £500 worth of sponsorship locally plus gift aid. This page has been created in response to queries from people who live further afield.
Thank you for reading this. I hope you will support the Roos Church Appeal
