Some of you may know the tragedy that my closest friend went through when her baby son, Joseph, died. It was so comforting to know that Kelly and her husband Brendan were being taken care of when it was all out of our hands. There was nothing we could do and we had to put our trust in the Ashfield Trust bereavement team. They got them through this devastating loss by providing facilities so that they could spend as much time as they needed with Joe, and helped them come to terms with what life had just thrown at them. They helped make precious memories, taking lots of photos, and making prints of Joe’s tiny hands and feet, as well as providing time for close family to meet him. 

I feel I would like to give back something to help other families going through this trauma. So I will be taking part in the Great Big Hospital Abseil at a height of 100 feet whilst absolutely crapping myself!
