2.6 Challenge
Campaign by Brainkind (RCN 800797)
The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for people of all ages and abilities to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

Set up by Britains mass participation event organisers,The 2.6 Challenge will bring the nation together on Sunday 26 April to save the UKs charities. The UK charity sector estimates it will lose £4 billion in income as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic (source: National Council of Voluntary Organisations CEO Karl Wilding). With hundreds of events postponed, thousands of charities have had to reduce or stop services at a time when vulnerable members of society need them most.

To support our service users during these very testing times especially when they cannot see their families and are cut off from the outside world, we are trying to boost morale of service users and staff. To help assist with mental health and wellbeing we are doing a number of challenges including - An opening parade, 2.6 mile perimeter walk, the 26 quiz, the chilli challenge, 26 min of karaoke and dance, 2 and 6 ping pong challenge. We are hoping to raise enough money to be able to improve our outdoor area to give service users and staff some wonderful evenings where there is space to also social distance and enjoy our sensory gardens.
