Story
In July 2019 our lives were turned upside down when, at 5 weeks old, our son George was admitted to the Evelina Children's Hospital with meningitis and blood poisioning. Up until that point, we were a normal couple, lucky enough to have two children and no idea we would forever be indebted to this amazing hospital and its incredible staff. George was a patient under their care for almost a month. In that time he was cared for like he was the only child that mattered. The staff also provided the most wonderful support to us and his sister Lola, which we will always be grateful for.
It is a very challenging time for the hospital trying to continue to raise money during the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions. There is also a charitable initiative in place to support the hospital's hardworking staff and we would love to help. We can't think of a better way of celebrating our sunny brave George turning one than to support this charity and help the team who cared for George endlessly, and put our world back together again last summer. George has all the love in the world and doesn't need any gifts next week, so if you are tempted to send a card or buy a gift, then please consider contributing here instead.
