Derby Kids' Camp is a 100% volunteer-run, local charity which provides free holidays for over 300 of Derbyshire's most deserving young children each year - giving them a much-needed break and what may well be the only holiday they will receive throughout the whole year.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This year our project team within Network Rail has chosen Derby Kids Camp as the charity for 2017. We will be hosting a range of events over the year from fun runs and sporting events to cycling 140 miles from coast to coast.

Derby Kids Camp is a 100% volunteer-run charity committed to providing free holidays for many of Derby City and Derbyshire's most deserving young children. These children benefit from what may be the only opportunity of a holiday for the year, they get to enjoy a fun and exciting break in the great outdoors.

These children are nominated by Derby City schools based on those children they feel would most benefit from a holiday. They will get to experience life in the countryside , see animals in their natural habitat and on the farm and above all make new friends and really build their confidence. A short break from home can have extremely positive effects for children and their parents/carers alike.

Get donating now to this brilliant cause and watch us on our fundraising journey throughout 2017.

Thanks, from the team at Derby.
