Story
This is a biggie! Kilimanjaro has to be at the top of anyone's list, it's the highest free-standing mountain in the world and provides an opportunity for us to raise funds for CAFT, so it has to be done!! In October I'll be joining a team of brave trekkers to try to summit Kili - I say try to as not everyone succeeds in this challenge - so there are no guarantees any of us will make it.
Many people would ask why? Why put yourself through something like this when you could just stay at home with a cup of hot chocolate and Netflix? Well, because I can (hopefully), and to me that's a huge privilege so while I'm able to raise funds doing things like this I will.
So many people, including lots of the children visiting CAFT, simply aren't able to take part in physically challenging activities. They'd love to be able to lace on a pair of walking boots and take to the hills, but for various reasons they can't. So, while I'm able I'm going to take full advantage and make myself useful!
Please, please, please sponsor us for this challenge if you can. I know we all get asked for donations every day, but I can assure you that the money raised on this trek will be put to excellent use and will make a difference. The children visiting CAFT need our support, help us to give them adventures and memories which will last a lifetime.
Thank you x
