Story

‘You never know what is around the corner’

In January this year, my husband Andrew, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, following surgery for a fractured vertebra. He has undergone 4 months of chemotherapy, and is heading towards a stem cell transplant later this summer.

Myeloma is a cancer of the bone marrow, and at present there is no cure. Andrew’s consultant, Andrew Chantry, and his research team, are at present doing pre clinical trials to find a cure. They now need to raise £50,000 in order to start clinical trials with patients in 2023.
