Story
I am a young lady with severe epilepsy and suffer from seizures day and night. I am raising money for RDA , Riding for the Disabled Association. I will be doing Mammouth Challenges throughout the week which will consist of a horse riding challenge, a 1 mile walk, a short circuit gym session, 14 laps of swimming and a community challenge around Horsham shops. All these will be a challenge in itself for me to complete due to my disabilities.
I am passionate about horses and enjoy riding. Horse riding is a great opportunity to reap the significant therapeutic benefits for the disabled rider. The movement of the horse is transmitted through the rider’s body, helping them to relax, improve balance, posture and co-ordination. RDA also provides disabled riders opportunities to compete internationally and even to Paralympic standards. Mid Sussex RDA give nearly 1,254 rides each year, all without charging a penny. They have a fantastic team of dedicated volunteers who turn up, come rain or shine, to support the riders and assist with the lessons, and without these volunteer helpers; none of the riding could take place. RDA depend on local fundraising from all the helpers and volunteers and all the money goes towards the horses and there maintenance. 100% of everything goes towards one thing, helping disabled riders.
This charity is close to my heart as I love riding with a passion. The money raised will help keep RDA running and allow other people to enjoy riding and learn new skills.
Please support this good cause and donate generously. Thank you so much
