Virgin London Marathon 2011 · 17 April 2011 ·
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
I have had to ditch my running shoes and take to my bike having sustained an injury (severe tissue damage to my lower legs on a 17 mile training run.) I have therefore had to defer my London Marathon entry for a year and adjust my fundraising challenge. My new challenge is to cycle 65 miles across Dartmoor in the Dartmoor Classic.
My aim is to raise £1000 for my chosen charity- Friends of South Devon College which is making a real difference to many young people in need in South Devon.
The charity was set up in 2008 to enhance the education of students attending South Devon College and to support the local community.
The overriding aim of the charitable organisation is 'supporting students'.
Students of all ages and abilities, from all backgrounds can use South Devon College as a stepping stone to realizing their aspirations. The College enables local people to develop talent and skills to an increasingly high level.
With the support of the Friends of South Devon College, we are able to ensure that hardship is not a barrier to education, to provide enhanced opportunities and better support students to achieve their full potential.
