Story
Hi there
Thanks for dropping by.
If we know each other, chances are that you know I'm a runner and have run a marathon before. I've been injured since the summer of 2019 and have been working on getting back to running (with a few backwards steps).
I recently started volunteering for E5 baby and children's bank, who help families in east London. It started up during the pandemic in 2020 and is now serving families in acute need of food, and essentials like toothpaste and toilet roll. Some families they support have escaped domestic violence. The children have no toys and sometimes no clothes either. The shelves fill and empty every week.
Our family is very fortunate and have the essentials that we need. I now know that around the corner, there are children who are lacking the basics, and that won't do.
I hope that you'll consider donating to the baby bank - my birthday is coming up on 15 May and I would love to see donations to the baby bank to help me celebrate. I'll also be making a donation. :)
The baby bank is volunteer run and spearheaded by a neonatal nurse from a local hospital. Funds will be used to buy essentials, such as nappies, underwear and cot mattresses (secondhand are not safe). Your money will go a long way but please give generously!!
I'll be working hard towards my physio, stretches and marathon training itself, knowing that you've sponsored me.
