My challenge:
I am running 150km in January, that’s 5km a day (with one day off) - a tough challenge for me, normally I might run a couple of 5k’s a month!
150km could take me from Kasambya to Hoima (and a bit further), the 2 places where the wonderful KiSS charity does it’s fantastic work.
The world is a tough place right now, and people in the most vulnerable circumstances will sadly feel the impact even more.
Which is why I’m hoping to challenge myself this month and try and raise a bit of money for the wonderful KiSS charity.
I appreciate that we are all in different and challenging circumstances at the moment, so only if you can, I would be grateful for any donations you may be able to make. Otherwise I just appreciate you taking the time to read this and thank you for your support.
What do KiSS do?
KiSS has been working to support communities in Uganda for 25 years and in that time, have transformed the lives of thousands of children and families in accessing education, healthcare, food and basic care.
Whilst this remains KiSS’s core work, their wider engagement work with the families of KiSS and working to build a better community has also enabled the development of two new Ugandan-led projects; The Agriculture Project and the Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLA’s). The KiSS Uganda team and parents of KiSS are the driving force behind these two projects and are excelling the charity on to becoming more self-sufficient.
