Support Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity to enhance our bereavement services for maternity so we can provide the gold standard care that our local families deserve

Story

I'm skydiving from 15,000 feet which is the highest you can do recreationally. Sadly, there will be an experienced skydiver attached to me. Don't forget I'll be 8 days shy of half a century. Maybe my wrinkles will be solved by the air resistance?

Lots of you will know we lost our baby, Rose Mary at 22 weeks in 2009. It was a really heart wrenching time and the bereavement services were great for us. However, we only had a room on the maternity ward to see our baby, which was private, but on the ward where parents were seeing their beautiful babies born healthy and screaming. Whilst we rejoice that others have their perfect child, we on the otherhand, are in the deep darkness of baby loss and organising a funeral we never expected to hold.

A dedicated suite would so help those bereaved families. I'm absolutely petrified about doing this challenge a few days before my 50th birthday but I guess if I don't survive you can save money on birthday presents!

Please give what you can for this very special and under recognised cause.

See ya on the other side!
