I'm Helen, Lady Captain at Walmersley Golf Club in Bury. This November I have chosen to walk 10K every day in aid of Bury Hospice.

The Lady Captain chooses a charity to support each year and this year my chosen charity is Bury Hospice as they support so many people who are living with cancer.

Each day, I will clock up 10K as I go about my usual day to day. I have people to call on as a "phone a friend" and these people will step in when I am away or out of the area on business. These are people from the golf club and local Bury Businesses who also support Bury Hospice.

I have set myself the challenge to only use my phone a friends 3 times meaning 27 of the 30 days is all down to me!
