We are a group of 50-something females wanting to raise funds for the Variety Sailing Trust who provide sailing opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged children and young people in Jersey, Channel Islands.  Their mission is to enable these young people to enjoy and benefit from the experience of going afloat under sail with their 38ft catamaran 'The Vernon Lilford Spirit of Variety'.  

Polly, Karen, Becky, Marie and I make up the team 'Easier Said Than Run' and we will each be running, huffing and puffing our way round a leg of the Ravenscroft Relay, part of the Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon.
