I'm a 42 year old midwife from North Lincolnshire. I have 3 children aged 18, 14 & 18 months. My partner Chris has completed the Brathay 10 in 10 challenge 3 times, I've completed it once.
I've always been a keen runner and cyclist but in recent years cycling has taken over. I love it! I love my bike! Being outdoors and enjoying some challenging yet beautiful areas of the UK - what's not to like?
When I read about Brathay 262 I decided I would apply - after 10 laps in my running shoes I thought it would be interesting to try the same on my bike. I was lucky enough to have my application accepted.
Alongside the personal challenge of the 262, fundraising for Brathay Trust means more than ever to me. A turbulent couple of years with a close family member has opened my eyes wide to the importance of professional and approachable support to vulnerable young members of our community and their families. With that in mind I'll be giving every bit of myself to the 262 and hope to get some great support behind me!
