We would be so grateful for your support for this fantastic charity, which does so much to help individuals and families who are affected by deafblindness and other forms of sensory impairment.  

This is essentially our version of a marathon - 26 miles along the Ridgeway, starting at midnight and walking through the early hours and morning to complete in under 12 hours.  Neither of us have ever been runners, but we do have dogged determination so we can at least participate in what will be a tough physical challenge in the realistic hope that we might finish it!

Training is going well so far, lots of regular walking and weekly long ones with only each other's conversation for distraction.  That should in itself be enough to encourage your sympathy and support (I am hoping that Richard might actually finish one of his stories by the time we get to the finish line...) but if you need any more convincing please go to www.sense.org.uk to find out more about the work done by this brilliant charity.
