This is a combination of a personal challenge to get fit, a target for losing weight gained by mental health medication,  walking as good for mental health - and the opportunity to raise funds for a really important organisation in our local community. 

They run a dropin cafe and offer support and advice for those struggling. Work that is massively increased as other provisions are affected by funding cuts. They are also a base for the Welcome Centre, food bank and other groups serving the most vulnerable in our community.

Huddersfield Mission has its roots in the Methodist Church's work in the town centre for generations and still very much part of the Methodist family.
