This year, to date, Helping Dog Paws have re-homed 37 dogs and have 10 in long term foster. You may think that this is not a lot but they do not have kennels, so all dogs have to go into a foster home prior to being rehomed for assessment. In addition to this they also provide short term care for animals while their owners are in hospital or receiving treatment, and assist with walking dogs when the owners are struggling.

Many of the dogs that arrive with Helping Dog Paws lack basic essentials such as collars, leads and beds – all of which they provide, and all dogs receive a vet check to ensure they are in good health. On one occasion last year Helping Dog Paws covered £2500 in vet’s fees for a dog to have their leg fixed after long term neglect by its previous owner.

So as you can see, they have to make every penny go as far as It can, and it is down to donations like yours that they are able to continue their work.
