POST RACE UPDATE
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and helping me reach my target of £1,000 for the Princess Alice Hospice, in memory of my best friend, Jane Davis, who died in July 2013. If you still want to donate, please do so.
I've updated the photos (with thanks to David) so you can see the race conditions. So it is just time to thank you all for sponsoring me, and for spurring me on to a personal best of 3hr 45min 38sec (provisional timing).

The Princess Alice Hospice cares for people with terminal illnesses and their families living in Surrey, south west London and Middlesex. I want to support the Princess Alice Hospice in order to recognise their amazing work providing counselling to bereaved families, including to Jane's husband, Steve, and their two daughters. This is my chance to give something back to an organisation that has looked after some very special people.
Although I run a lot, a marathon remains a massive challenge, so knowing that I am raising funds for such an important cause will hopefully spur me on through those last miles and the final weeks of training.
My target amount would cover ten home visits or two days of in-patient care. It's an ambitious target to achieve in a short time, but I wanted to aim high.
