Challenge: Vulnerable communities in Lebanon are challenged by one crisis after another: Covid, unemployment, Syrian war, refugees, Beirut blast, and more. Levels of anxiety, depression, sleeping problems, PTS, domestic violence, substance abuse, suicide, have risen. We need innovative, scalable, cost-effective methods to support healing, resilience & empowerment. Solution: IAHVs integrated, innovative approach provides: 1) stress-relief and resilience workshops for children & adults 2) training in human values & nonviolent empowerment for children at risk of self-harm & violent behaviour 3) stress management & resilience training for frontline workers & teachers 4) Humanitarian (food) support to communities in need in Tripoli Long-Term Impact: The project empowers vulnerable communities to strengthen their resilience & gain skills to improve their own situation.
