HEINEKEN Race to the Tower 2019 · 8 June 2019 to 9 June 2019 ·
I am taking on this double marathon through the heart of the Cotswolds through quaint traditional villages and medieval burial grounds, I will finish at the magnificent Broadway Tower.
I will be covering a total distance of 52.4 miles and a total climb of 7,476ft over 2 days.
Day 1 distance 26.2 miles , Day 1 total climb 4,147ft.
Day 2 distance 26.2 miles , Day 2 total climb 3,329ft
I will be competing in this challenge to raise funds for LOROS Hospice. LOROS Hospice is a local charity and every year they care for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
They provide free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers.
£5 could pay for meals for a patient for a day.
£10 could pay for collection of a patient from home for day therapy.
£25 could pay for an hour of care for one of our inpatients.
£50 could pay for 2 complementary therapy sessions, helping to relieve a patients pain, sickness or reduce anxiety.
£100 could pay for two visits by our home visiting service, enabling carers time to do other things knowing their loved one is being cared for.
