In 2011, my Nana passed away from Motor Neurone Disease. In April last year, I also lost my Great Aunty Anne, my Nana’s sister, to the same cruel illness.

Last September I ran the Great North Run in memory of Joan and Anne, raising almost £800 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. 

This May, I’ll be running the Rob Burrow Leeds Half Marathon, again for the MND Association, for Joan and Anne, and in the hopes of raising even more awareness and funds to find a cure. 

We miss Joan and Anne every day. MND has truly devastated my family, and we hope to one day live in a world free of Motor Neurone Disease.
