Hi all,

My name is Helena and on October 24th I will run a marathon for the first time to help raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society.

The Irish Cancer Society is dedicated to preventing cancer, detecting it early and fighting it at every level.

During this pandemic their fundraising has suffered massively and I really want to help them, just like they helped me and my family during the worse time of our lives!

In 2012, my mam was diagnosed with terminal cancer. With the support of the Night Nurses provided by the Irish Cancer Society, we were able to care for mam at home during her last days. Their support will never be forgotten.

Today, I have family and friends on different cancer journeys. And for them, and in mam's memory, I will run this marathon. I want to help the Irish Cancer Society continue to support cancer patients and their families and friends facing the difficult journey.
