Since 1993, we have impacted the lives of over 250,000 people living in hard-to-reach communities in rural Nepal. We have built or renovated over 160 earthquake resilient schools, creating safe and inclusive learning environments. Our other projects include community health and sanitation projects.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I hope to raise £2000 to support the 2018 phase of the Deaf Nepal Project and to help to improve and enhance the lives of Deaf children in a Nepalese school

I am a  British Sign Language user  qualified to level 6.   I love translating songs, leading them in my choir and raising D/deaf awareness  and sign language awareness. I love inspiring people to share in my love of the language and culture

I have led 129 choir performances and many more in the pipeline. I have hosted large community events bringing hearing and D/deaf communities together.

I work with Deaf  and blind children and am actively involved in the Deaf community. I am always out and about raising and promoting deaf and sign language awareness through my signing choir and giving talks and workshops . I was nominated for the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service in 2015 and have been shortlisted for the Signature Annual Awards this year  (results announced as I fly our to Nepal)

I am  furthering my voluntary work by supporting Deaf children in Nepal

This is a worthy cause which many of my D/deaf and hearing friends are already involved in

I love it if my family, friends and colleagues were able to support me and help me reach our target by late 2018
