On the 15th October four of us known as GWD Geri-Actives will be taking part in the Battle for Cancer Challenge in London again. We are raising money for a charity which is very close to our hearts and sadly affects every family during their lifetime. Prevent Breast Cancer is the only UK charity entirely dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer – they are committed to freeing the world from the disease altogether. Unlike many cancer charities, they are focused on preventing, rather than curing. Promoting early diagnosis, screening and lifestyle changes, and they believe we can all stop the problem before it starts. The Battle Cancer Challenge is a global fitness event uniting indivduals for one purpose: fighting cancer.
