This is a story about Helen Davies (my beautiful brave wife, soulmate & amazing friend to so many) and her battle with tonsil cancer - Squamous cell carcinoma caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). It’s also about our family’s battle to understand it so we can continue to help and support her throughout this dreadful disease. Also, importantly, it’s about protecting every child in the world by simply giving a vaccine such as Gardasil (intended to protect against diseases caused by HPV types 6, 11, 16, and 18). No one needs to go through the hell that this cancer causes. HPV associated cancers are a growing global problem.
