Story
I am taking part in a 10 hour Danceathon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. There are lots of different types of dance involved, from Jazz to Bollywood! I am part of a relay team of 8 and half of us have to be dancing at any one time - although it is my personal goal to dance every dance. See www.macmillandance2010.co.uk for more information.
I chose to take part as I love dancing and because it was raising money for a really good cause. I think about my lovely friend Terry (Rob) Radmore every day. Terry sadly lost his battle with cancer earlier this year and I still can't believe he's not with us any more. He was a big fan of music and dance (his high kicks were legendary amongst his friends) so dancing seemed a perfect way to raise money for a charity that I know helped him and his loved ones during his illness.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
