Story
Thanks for visiting my Race for Life page. I will be walking the 5km with my bestie Nikki Croucher who has recently begun her battle with cancer. Nikki was diagnosed with tongue cancer earlier this year, aged just 36 and pretty fit and healthy (we ran the Great South Run together in 2012!!) Nikki is Mum to two boys and her bravery has been immeasurable. Everyday is a stark reminder of her fight as she has been left with scarring to her neck and wrist; a successful operation but as women we know that scars really do knock your confidence and are a constant reminder, although show the bravery we hold. This lady is an inspiration to me and reminds us all yet again that no-one is invincible from cancer and it does not discriminate!! My Dad is also a survivor but we have lost far too many.
