Story
💗 I’ve just turned 50… a milestone that once felt hard to imagine during breast cancer treatment.
Nearly two years on, I’m still walking… and this time the plan is 230 miles.
Over three months, I’ll complete six endurance events for Team Breast Foot Forward as part of Relay For Life Isle of Man, raising money for Cancer Research UK. Since my diagnosis, cancer has touched family and friends too, a reminder of how many lives this disease affects.
Two years ago, during treatment, I carried names on a memory T-shirt for the Parish Walk. This year, as I turn 50, I’m doing it again, carrying those we love, those we miss, and those still fighting with me every step of the way.
🏃♀️ Challenge events:
• Coast to Coast (Isle Listen) – 15 miles (29th March)
• The Cotswold Way with Richard, over 8 days – 100+ miles (from 8th April)
• Hospice & Firefighters 50K Walk – 31 miles (19th April)
• Rosemary Mazzone Memorial Walk – 10 miles (3rd May, TBC)
• Tryathlon (Isle of Play) – 7.5 miles (17th May)
• Parish Walk to Andreas – 55 miles (20th June)
💞 Every mile is for someone. Those fighting. Those surviving. Those remembered.
To mark turning 50, I’ll carry 50 names across all 230 miles on my charity T-shirt. You can support the challenge by choosing a number from 1 to 50 for £10, each one representing someone honoured or remembered.
