Story
Over the past few decades I have taken on many challenges for various charities to raise in excess of £8,000. Challenges such as Army and inflatable assault courses, Afternoon Tea Parties, bake sales, guess how many sweets in the jar, Typhoon Runway Pull against a fire engine and tank, Samlesbury Site Charity Challenge Co-ordinator, walking on fire. I have managed to get myself fit enough a challenge in itself to run numerous 5k, 10k, half marathons and a full marathon, plus many volunteering hours painting, decorating and gardening.
Now as I approach 50, and with changes in my personal life, as my husband Simon was diagnosed 3 years ago with the degenerative terminal disease Huntington’s. I, in my madness have decide to take on not one, but 50 small personal challenges in 50 weeks to hopefully raise £500 for Huntington’s but it would be amazing if I could raise £2,000 and crack the £10,000 total that I have raised or helped raise over the years.
My challenges are listed below and start from the 14th November my 50th birthday finishing in October 2019. I would love my family and friends to join in on some of my challenges to make my last fundraising event as fun and memorable as possible.
I will post regular updates and photos as I go through the year, it would be great if you could help me reach my £500 target and achieve my 50 challenges.
Thank you all for your support over the years, not just in monetary donations but much more importantly in your personal support in helping me achieve some amazing physical and mental challenges along my charity fundraising journey.
