Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 31st of March 2012 at 7.29am my life changed forever. My precious firstborn son, Noah, entered the world silently weighing 6lbs 6.5oz. Despite having a textbook pregnancy and labour and delivering a perfect baby boy he could not be resuscitated. In just a few short moments we went from 40 weeks and 4 days of preparing for the most amazing gift to come into our lives to facing the prospect of going home with our hospital bags still packed and our car seat empty.
This March will be Noah's 6th birthday and whilst he is not physically here to be part of that he is loved and remembered every single day. My gift to him is setting myself the rather large challenge of running the Reading Half Marathon and raising money for SANDS in his memory.
I am no runner (although people now tell me I am!)......in fact before August last year I had done no running at all but I tentatively did the Couch to 5k challenge and then told myself if I could run 10k in December I would sign up for the half marathon and do it for Noah and for SANDS. I am training hard.......and hard is definitely the word I would use to describe.
Please dig deep and donate in memory of Noah on his 6th birthday and to help make sure my little legs last 13.1miles. Thank you so much for reading.
Happy 6th Birthday in heaven little soldier.
