I am a full-time professional portrait photographer specialising in pets, ponies and people and am based near New Mills in the Peak District.  I decided to try and fundraise as I was moved by a news article about the difference a dog had made to the life of a little boy with severe autism. Support Dogs UK didn't have such a high profile as some of the other assistance dog charities, and I liked that it is also northern based (in Sheffield). I decided that perhaps I could offer photography sessions to people who adore their pets, and would like a professional portrait in return for a donation to the charity.  For a donation of £25 (all of which goes to Support Dogs UK) you will receive a full pet photography experience plus your favourite portrait as a desk print plus a social media file, altogether worth over £200! (NB- PLEASE DON'T BE ANONYMOUS AS I CAN'T MATCH YOUR DONATION TO YOUR BOOKING!) Support Dogs UK  does such amazing work not only providing trained dogs to children and adults with autism and epilepsy, but also training pet dogs belonging to disabled people as assistance dogs. Although my clients are mostly dogs, I am very happy to photograph cats too as long as they are relaxed about travelling to my studio!
