Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

I am joining the Forth Valley ICU team to do the Glasgow Kiltwalk Mighty Stride in April. We will walk 23miles together raising money for the Brain Tumour Research charity.

Last year we lost the most wonderful friend and colleague to glioblastoma. There are so few options for treatment of these devastating tumours and new break throughs are desperately needed. We walk in Neil’s memory and with the hope that funds raised will change the odds for those facing this cruel disease in the future .

One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
