We are all helplessly watching what is happening in Texas. I just reached out to Austin Pets Alive! to see where I could send donations to help with their rescue operations...at this time, their greatest need is financial support to help with vet and medical care for the evacuated animals.

As of Wednesday morning, Austin Pets Alive! transported over 600 animals to their shelter and are expecting up to 1,000 over the next 24 hours. By the end of the week they anticipate having as many as 2,000 animals in our care.

In addition to caring for this continuously growing population of dogs
and cats, their Town Lake shelter has turned into a command center for
animal assistance and evacuation in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

AustinPets Alive! is acting as a conduit to ferry supplies to shelters and
areas most in need: arranging transportation for animals in need and coordinating with national partners to assist in reuniting owned
animals and families.
