Hi, I'm Bella. I'm a little 12-15-year old terrier cross and a little beauty, so I'm told, who came into the care of Oldies Club, a small, volunteer-run dog rescue charity that rescues and rehomes older dogs, in mid-March 2017. 

I found my way to Oldies Club through unfortunate circumstances and very sadly it was immediately obvious that I have some very troubling mammary tumours. You can see these in the second photo, but *WARNING* they are rather upsetting for people to look at, so feel free to just make a donation and send good thoughts my way without looking at that particular image.

I was taken to the vets soon after arriving in Oldies Club foster care and the vet prescribed some ointment to put on the ulcerated area. The vet advised that I would likely have 8-9 weeks left if I were not operated on. They felt I was generally fit enough to go through surgery and could have considerably longer left, while hopefully feeling much happier and more comfortable once these horrid things are removed.

The charity felt it would be preferable for me to undergo surgery and give me the chance of a longer and much more comfortable rest of life, following my recovery, than to leave me in this state for the weeks I might otherwise have left. It has therefore arranged for me to have surgery on Tuesday 28 March 2017. I will be placed on fluids during the operation, to help me during the process and in recovery.

Oldies Club is waiting for confirmation of the estimate/cost for the surgery - understandably the priority is to help me asap - and someone will help me update this page once there is a total, but obviously this surgery is going to cost them and so, if you could spare any money to help, we would all be very grateful.

Please keep me in your thoughts too and hope that my surgery goes well and I am soon back in my lovely foster home recovering and preparing to enjoy a happier time than I would have had if it weren't for Oldies Club.
