Story

On 20th-22nd May I cycled from Budapest, via Bratislava, to Vienna, a distance of 75 miles a day over 3 days (225 miles), in aid of the Spinal Injuries Association, for which my business, Helping Hands, has provided sponsorship previously (and generously doubled my sponsorship), so we have close association with their work.

I had never done anything like this before, nor any sponsored event on this scale, and worked my way through a 16-week training programme, out 3-4 times a week, working up to these daily distances.

Support for spinal injuries is something I have some affinity with, having worked with those affected, at Glenside, back in 2011-2013, and have seen, first-hand, the devastating effect a spinal injury has on those often in the prime of their life.

If you feel able, I'd be very grateful indeed if you would sponsor me - my business, Helping Hands, has kindly agreed to match any sponsorship, pound for pound, so your money will be doubled up, plus 25% extra under Gift Aid for taxpayers.
