Story
2 years ago my 8 year old daughter, Sophie, saw a T.V advertisement appealing for help towards ill and suffering children. Sophie asked me if we could help them. I told her all about fundraising and how people could be sponsored to complete a challenge which would raise funds towards a good cause of their choosing. This led to Sophie and her friends walking up Mount Snowden, the tallest peak in Wales, in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity back in 2019 when they were 6 years old.
Since then Soph has continued to ask if we could do something similar but this time to help not only poorly children but their families too. With that said, in June Soph will be setting her sights on walking up Scarfell Pike, the tallest peak in England to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
She‘d be thrilled to know that her hard work will help towards raising money for this charity which enables many families across the county stay together during their times of need.
